Thats true, the original will always be best. But its just if the american one flops then a lot of people will remember that. It might tarnish the reputation of ab fab. I really hope they dont try and do the same episodes because that would be horrible.

My prediction: They will do the remake (who knows why!) It will be ok for many people, but for those who have seen the real Ab Fab it will be like "WTF!" It will go on for like 1 season. 2 would be a miracle. But after all everyone will just remeber how GOOD the original was...

I really don't think it will tarnish Ab Fab's reputation at all. It already has the status of one of the greatest comedy creations. When the French version didn't do as well it did nothing to effect Ab Fab.... only make it even stronger. I don't think the American version will have a negative effect on the original... it will just prove that American tv companies can't touch such British comedy gold.
