Matt Smith IS The Doctor

Two episodes in and a preview of a third, I dare say Mr Smith is now my favoritenew series Doctor. No more angst like Eccleston or dashing around mania like Tennant. THIS Doctor is more old school.And that is great to see again after all this time.

Well at least one is happy!
But yeah, I bet I'll like him sooner or later anyway. Its just that I am not used to "old school" I suppose. Damned Tennant!

Don't worry, Nooob! You will get used to the new guy soon enough.

Watched ep. number 5 yesterday. It slowly, slowly gets better with him. Pheew!

Yay for Doctor Eleven! Just wait until next week! Vampires in Venice! Oh my.....and I read that the reason for all the cracks in time has been revealed to be Amy in some shape or form. How cool is that? Better be better than what they did with Rose and Donna though!

Still... a "Yay" for Doctor Ten from me.
Yep it is, but we'll prob need to wait the whole season (which is good)to find out what exactly is "wrong" with her.

However the last ep ended sort of "Martha & Rose" style but with Amy's approach. lol

Yeah I know what you mean, I heard Amy came on to the Doctor in the Tardis bedroom. Ugh. This is NOT the show for such encounters.
I also read an interview that Karen Gillan gave and she said they better not give her character super powers.

Well yeah, Amy is a bit "wild".
In the newest ep The Doctor played a "matchmaker" - thats definitely something new.

Amy wild? I suppose so, I never considered that before. At least Rory will be involved in future storylines, that should keep her mind off the Doctor.

One thing is clear it wont be another Mickey and Rose, just for a simple reason - they wouldnt repeat it after all this "redesigning" and evertyhing.

I sincerely hope not. The series should be looking ahead not backwards to the now defunct RTD era.
I am waiting still to see the Weeping Angels 2 parter, but am confident it will give the current Doctor a lot of shining moments. I hope he puts River Song in her place lol.

hahaha! Well, yeah he tried sort of. But it ended all in a mystery anyway.

I suppose (as it looks so far) Doctor will reunite Amy with her (whats his name)husband to be. lol Then again who knows!

Yep. They are 3 now. Well, thats a change. They are doing pretty well with adding him, more dynamic.

He better not become another Mickey Smith. I am all for male companions but not at the expense of some originality.

He is definitely better/different than Mickey.

That's good to know. I could not stand what they did to Mickey. And Amy deserves a strong boyfriend/husband.

I think he is just like a "normal" person finally.

Finally a realistic character in the long line of modern characters in the new Dr Who.

Of course no one is 100% realistic in DW though, that would be impossible. lol

Rory was FANTASTIC in Amy's Choice! I loved seeing another strongly written male companion character after all the hits and misses over the years. in the series history.
Plus with him around, hopefully Amy won't fawn over the Doctor as she was in danger of doing after the events of Flesh and Stone.
