Was watching Doctor who Chritmas ep on TV today - David's first ever ep. Awwwwww! They are gonna rerun the whole thing from season 2 now.

I wish they had written around her being able to remember the Doctor, as it looked like they were doing before she fell unconcious.

Donna Noble is the best thing to come from the Doctor Who range since the series returned to our screens in 2005.
She deserved better.


I don't suppose we shall see her or any of the others again now a new production team are in place.

She was! Apart from Tennant of course. She as a companion just made it better, the right edge to it. All that "mates" thing worjked so well. Plus she was older and that gave a different dinamic, not to mension so funny, and great chemistry with David. ok I could go on forever!

Go on with your Tennant praise, and I will chant "amen" every time :WORSHIP:

I could go on with "Tennant praise" forever! I've been wathing all his stuff lately. From Takin Over the Asylum (its such a sweet miniseries) to Hamlet and Blackpool and Secret Smile and Recovery ... And now they are reruning Doctor Who season 2 on Tv... He is so good in everyting, from psycho to Danish prince. And those eyes! And his "Oh yeaah!"

So you don't feel that the powers that be went too far with how the 10th Dr was played? I think 1 or 2 episodes went too far with his manic attitudes and of course over-reliance on the whole Rose Tyler storyline.

Well, thats was more to do with the writing, not only of course, but yeah.
I never really though he is too maniac. I think when I started to watch DW, I just took it as "oh thats how the Doctor is" So I assume my eyes will be "blurred" for ever. Also I am more of a "drama" person (not to confuse with "soup" though!), so...
However , now I understand that many real DW fans suffered from this "drama" overdose.
About Rose, there is a point though.

So what you think of Martha Jones? is she good or just another unrequited love companion like Ms Tyler?

To me Martha Jones was ok, but I prefer Rose's personality though. Martha was a bit too much, sort of annoying at times. Then again she had some great monets too. Also, from the script point of view whats wrong with "one sided love"? It just adds to the whole.
When I watch a TV show, I just take the characters as they are and sort of see all the perspectives...

It's just that classic companions didn't go around pining for any of the classic Doctors, and being an old school fan of the series makes it hard to tolerate when it happens in the new series.
Of course no one has anything on Captain Jack!

From todays point of view its hard to imagine! Have to think there is something wrong with todays society.

The problem with today's society is the oversaturation of sex appeal in spades. Entertainment is all geared towards it most of the time.

EXACTLY. Also everytihng seems to get very, very dull and shallow(especially comedy) And its like Ancient Greeks had their gods, we have celebs!

Except thanks to modern teleivsion recording and DVDs the celebs last longer!

However they must be well short of space on the Olympus Mount by now, they just keep on rolling down from it. :p
