Re: Donna Noble
I'd like to think it would happen but unfortunately they have always said that there will never be a female doctor. But with all the emphasis on how important donna became then maybe she will remember... and come back....but not as doctor. Just as someone very wise!

Re: Donna Noble
Anything is possible in Doctor Who. You never know... Donna could have been cloned somehow or there is another Donna in an alternate universe. They can make anything happen because it's sci-fi. I can't wait for the special.

Re: Donna Noble
He really is an incredible Doctor Who. I don't want him to leave. I really don't think it will be the same again. David and Cath had a great dynamic as well.

Re: Donna Noble
I want series 4 at the least!
I started watching it because of Catherine and David so my heart certainly lies with series 4.

Re: Donna Noble
i started watcing it when it was the doctor and martha, so i loved that series too but when cath came into it i definitely loved series four more.
i have to say billie is amazing as his assistant in the first two series, and the way she gets seperated from the doctor is so so sad.

Re: Donna Noble
That storyline was really sad. I'm not big on Billie though, she irritates me quite a lot. But i know a lot of people who Cath irritated. But that was mostly because they couldn't seperate her from her Cath Tate show characters. I love the way Donna said "DOCTAH"!

Re: Donna Noble
I can understand where people are coming from when they say they're not keen on her. But they truly have never seen her in anything else. People just judge way too quickly. She definitely did bring a sense of comedy to the role but she also did fantastically at the more dramatic and emotional scene. Who could watch that final episode and not agree? There were moments of brilliant comedy "Oi Spaceman".... and then there was that sad sad sad moment which was so emotionally charged it was incredible.

Re: Donna Noble
yeh thats what i thought was ood about donna, because before martha and rose were o serious all the time and all the funny bits were from the doctor, where as donna and the doctor bounced of each other in this series. if people didnt like her then thats their problem, if cath wasnt any good then she wouldnt have been nominated for an award for her part.

Re: Donna Noble
I do think their dynamic was brilliant. Because you there was no romance between them they were just perfectly comfortable with eachother. Of course there were times when Donna appeared jealous of other women in the doctors life but i think that was just more of a friendship type of jealousy.

Re: Donna Noble
yeh and it was also good to have an older assistant. the others have always been in their twenties. and i agree about the romance thing, that got quite tiring after the first 3 series all the assistants were in love with him.

Re: Donna Noble
I started to Watch Doctor Who only from season 4. Before I saw the Kylie special only. But once I catched the new ep on tv, and got quite interested, then I catched the special from 2006 with Catherine and got REALLY interested. And went to download the whole season 4.
Donna Noble is one of the best tv characters ever. I still cant get over the fact they erased her memory. She must come back! At least for a special. There cant be a better companion to Doctor than her. (By now I have seen the last 4 seasons). She can be so funny at one scene and then so human and sad in other.
Edit. So agree about the romance aspect. Its actually so refreshing to see a woman and a man just as friends or simply persons. Not just on Doctor Who, but TV overall.

Re: Donna Noble
Said perfectly Alise!
I couldn't agree more that Caths acting was spectacular. Of course i'm biased but her ability to switch from comedy to drama is just fantastic because she carries the audience with her as well. The audience suffers such a great empathy on her part.
The memory erasing was one of the saddest things that could have happened to any character, especially Donna. The doctor made her such a wonderful and magical person. It seems that she lost all that as soon as she went back to being "the best temp in chiswick".

Re: Donna Noble
does it cost money to download from that website???
donna was just amazing the whole series and the xmas special she did too.
i hated that they left it until the very end for it to happen, i thought she was going to be okay

Re: Donna Noble
Yeah after watching Catherine on DW, I think she is one of the best actresses ever. She really can act!
Memory erasing was horrible. But at least we have some hope of a return one day! Its a small hope but still.

I think the fact that we don't know what her return is going to involve is very exciting. I'm quite happy not knowing. I'm already looking forward to it!

Re: Donna Noble
Okay, so I havent read the last 4 pages but here: I dont really know how they would bring her back, although I know she is supposed to be returning once (I hope Wilk gets his own special! He deserves it!!) but they made it seem airtight. Not fair. Rose only got stuck in another universe! Aww...
AND I think I read something about this but I really liked how she wasnt interested in him (but Jack instead!). Thats what made Martha so damned annoying, she was always longing after him. I loved the Doctor/Donna relationship!
